The SJC Custom 14'' x 6.5'' Snare is a custom specified product and features a distinctive exotic koa veneer that will be sure to make an impression on stage. Its natural wood grain design is balanced perfectly by the brass finished hardware and the brass SJC badge sitting proudly in the center. This custom snare takes inspiration from the SJC Tour Series; designed to be the most versatile snare drums able to perform in a wide range of styles.

Reliable Hardware

The Custom Koa snare uses high-quality hardware, including 3mm steel hoops, classic SJC shield lugs, and a Trick GS007 throw off for easy control of your snare wires. The standard SJC snare wires provide a great mix of shell tone and snare wire snap, helping to increase the definition of the snare's dynamic sound. The 3mm hoops work together with the SJC shield lugs to keep your drum accurately and consistently tuned throughout your performance or recording session. Every drum is individually tuned and tested to ensure that they are ready to be played upon arrival, meaning that SJC's astonishing tone is at the player's immediate disposal.

Manufacture

The SJC Koa Custom snare features a maple shell and 45-degree bearing edges to provide a timeless tone, applicable to a versatile range of styles. The 10-ply maple shell offers expressive, singing tones and warm mid and high frequencies, whilst guaranteeing rigidity and resonance, and is mounted with a quality Evans G2 coated batter head.

With a great sound also comes a great aesthetic. The SJC chrome badge - located centrally on the shell - proudly marks the snare as a product of high-quality manufacturing and craftsmanship. Built in Massachusetts by the very same craftsmen who create the innovative custom kits, this SJC Custom Snare retains ultimate sound quality as well as a classic appearance.

About SJC Drums

With humble beginnings in Mike and Scott Ciprari's (SJC) Grandmother's basement, SJC has since developed into one of the world's leading drum manufacturers and suppliers. In the beginning, the brothers were determined to pioneer the sound of a generation tirelessly seeking to improve themselves and their drum kits until they had reached a state of perfection. As the brother's skills progressed and they got better at building, they thought it a good idea to get some of their friends to play their kits and start to spread the word. Bands such as 'A Wilhelm Scream' and 'Strike Anywhere' were some of the few endorsements from the brothers. SJC's turning point came when the musical sensation 'Panic! At the Disco' played the MTV music awards in 2006. This pivotal moment enabled the brand to branch out and endorse a variety of bigger and more diverse bands like 'Hawthorne Heights', 'Aiden' and 'Cobra Starship'. Expanding their already impressive artist roster, SJC began to reach unprecedented heights and managed to move out of their grandmother's basement and into a warehouse, enabling SJC to introduce a small number of new dedicated staff.
