Double Sided Instrument

The cajon has two hitting sides, which allows for a wide range of percussive sounds. The front side of the cajon gives crisp, high attack sounds that combined with the snare system, make the sound authentic to a snare drum. It also provides a focused bass sound in the middle of the instrument, suitable for bass notes. The back panel provides a sound similar to a bongo, which is suitable for more diverse cajon playing.

Angled Cajon Design

This WHD cajon features an angled front, which means that you don't have to bend over quite as far. This in turn makes it easier to play. The angled design also has acoustic benefits as well, where the bass notes have more presence than on a traditional cajon. Combining this with the brighter sounding applewood laminate top, the cajon sounds responsive and lively.

Adjustable Snare System

This cajon features an adjustable snare system to give you the most versatile sound. The cajon features two 20 strand snares as standard, which can be positioned either in the middle or at the bottom of the instrument. The bottom placement allows for crisp snare sounds around the edge of the cajon, leaving the middle section freer from snare sounds for a deep bass sound. Placing the snare in to the middle of the instrument gives a all-round snare sound regardless of hitting location. You can also customise your snare sound by adding different snare systems, which are available for purchase separately.
