The EarthQuaker Devices Space Spiral V2 has a digital brain to control a lush-sounding analog-voiced delay. This gives you the rich and warm tonality of an analog pedal with a huge 30ms - 600ms delay range, made possible by the Space Spiral's digital processor.
The pedal can be used to create a traditional analog delay sound, and with its massive time-range it can be used for close-spaced slap-back sound effects all the way to long-spaced ambient tones. Despite the digital brain, the Space Spiral has an all-analog dry signal path and a pristine true bypass operation.
Modulated Delay Repeats
When you're ready to take your delay sound to the next level, the Space Spiral V2 allows you to modulate the repeat sounds. This creates a thicker tone, with the Depth switch controlling the level of modulation and allowing you to achieve either a subtle widening of your tone or an all-out saturation of tone-shifted modulation.
The Space Spiral also has a Shape control that provides control over the waveshape LFO. This lets you set the modulated sound from anywhere between a triangle and a square wave. The Rate control lets you set the modulation speed, so you can also achieve classic Leslie sound effects amongst others.
Whether you prefer classic analog delay sounds or the tone-shifting world of modulated delays, the Space Spiral V2 has the analog sound and the digital brain to give you a world or creative exploration.
Flexi Switch
The new V2 Flexi Switch enables you to operate the pedal in traditional latching mode or in momentary mode. This allows the pedal to work like a usual guitar effects pedal on/off switch or can be used to create 'stutter' effects. The momentary operation is ideal for highlighting short musical passages with the effect briefly engaged, such as during intermittent solo moments.
True Bypass
The Space Spiral V2 has a true bypass output which maintains the clarity of your signal when the pedal is disengaged. EarthQuaker Devices has upgraded this pedal with a soft-touch switch that enables silent and smooth switching for effortless operation on stage and in the studio.
Professional Functionality
The Space Spiral V2 features top-mounted audio connections and a power input socket to allow you to maximise your pedalboard space. The pedal is handmade, one at a time, by the craftspeople at EarthQuaker Devices and it features a rugged metal chassis and premium components to last a lifetime of gigging.
