Sitka spruce has been relied upon for years due to its wondrous tonal qualities, and so Taylor have taken full advantage of this magnificent tonewood and utilised it for body top of the 214ce-K DLX. Offering a wide dynamic range and crisp articulation, Sitka spruce ensures that every note is released from the strings with glistening definition. It is perfect for any passionate gigging and recording musician. As the wood ages, you'll notice that the sonic capabilities of your guitar become more varied and enticing. Each time you play, Sitka spruce's tone opens up - and so do the possibilities of the 214ce-K. Complementing the spruce top are sapele back and sides. Sapele offers an overall consistent sound but with particular focus on warmth and a little extra treble.

The grand auditorium body is known for its versatility and brilliant sound projection. With full, rounded lows, pronounced mids, and sparkling highs, you'll have a gorgeous tonal response across the whole frequency range. Better still, the stunning Venetian cutaway makes this guitar dreamy to play. Fingerpick and strum effortlessly as you are granted an exceptionally comfortable playing experience, even when reaching those upper frets.

The 214ce-K DLX features a sumptuous sapele neck and an exquisite ebony fretboard. The neck is amazingly comfortable to play thanks to its smooth, satin finish, and a strong neck joint means it can handle any excessive fretting. Better still, Taylor's unique NT neck design is designed to provide a straighter, more stable guitar neck, resistant to common problems such as changes in humidity.

The ebony fretboard attached on top further enhances your playing experience as well as adding more shimmering qualities to your tone. Ebony is an extremely responsive tonewood that offers a beautifully bright sound, making it a gorgeous accompaniment to sapele and spruce.
