Key Features
Product Ref: 90774
Loaded with two DMT Designed humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position and a DMT Designed single coil in the middle position, the Dean ML Switchblade Floyd HSH delivers a powerful and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and sparkling highs. Perfect for a range of playing styles and music genres and of course shredding, the DMT Designed humbuckers excel when used for hard rock, screaming lead licks and chunky rhythm parts.
The Dean ML Switchblade Floyd HSH body is produced from mahogany in the signature Switchblade body shape. The mahogany body adds a warm tone with good grind and bite, along with lightweight properties. Wired with Grover tuners, speed black knobs and a Floyd Rose 1000 bridge, this guitar's hardware complements the classic black finish.
With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose 1000 Locking Tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos, the Floyd Rose 1000 bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock.
The Dean ML Switchblade Floyd HSH features a mahogany neck, mounted with an ebony fingerboard. This set neck is formed into a D shape and has 24 jumbo frets, allowing a smooth performance and excellent resonance. The mahogany and ebony tonewood combo delivers excellent clarity and definition to the tone, a muscular and controlled bass, and snappy, sizzling highs.
