The E-II Bass Guitar features a body crafted from mahogany and designed with comfortable contours, ensuring players receive the best playing experience. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles.
The Doris Yeh Signature ESP features a 3-piece maple neck to produce beautifully bright tones, with searing highs and strong mids for a dynamic performance. Its thin U-shaped profile is perfect for speed demons, allowing players to easily reach across the entire fingerboard without losing any comfort. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The neck-through construction optimises the maximum contact between the neck and body joint, enhancing the guitar's resonance for an advanced sustain. This setup allows superior vibration transfer and sustainability, perfect for when you need notes to ring out for as long as possible.
Doris’ signature bass is equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan SSB-5 Soapbar pickups, delivering a strong sonic punch with great tonal properties suitable for a variety of playing styles. The SSB-5 Soapbar pickups are designed for 5-string basses and drop tunings, offering the same articulation and low-end clarity shine found on 4-string basses but with an extended frequency range. Their moderate output provides the bass with subtle tonal qualities to add an extra layer of depth, providing players with a beautifully organic feel. The E-II DY-5 is also equipped with ESP’s Cinnamon 3-band EQ, allowing players to dial in the perfect tone for any situation and find the ultimate sweet spot for any musical genre.
The guitar is finished off with high-end hardware to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh bridge offers incredible string stability, enhancing the overall sustain and resonance while the Gotoh tuners improve tuning stability. The Signature E-II DY-5 Bass also features Schaller straplocks to protect against accidental strap release, ensuring players can deliver a powerful performance without worrying about dropping their guitar.
