Key Features
Product Ref: 77575
The GJ2 Shredder Guitar features a lightweight basswood body that offers a fat, well balanced tone, perfect for playing a wide range of music. The wood has a muscular midrange, producing a soft sound that is both dynamic and defined. With a contour that allows your arm to rest comfortably against the guitar, the GJ2 also features chrome hardware and a jet black finish to create a stylishly sleek look.
The maple neck provides the guitar with bright characteristics, tightening up its tone to deliver sizzling highs, frim lows, and a snappy midrange. The Rosewood fingerboard helps to ‘fur up’ the maples natural tones, giving the guitar a warm, soft sound whilst thickening up its low end. The maple/rosewood fingerboard work well together, producing a punchy gnarly edge when the strings are hit hard without producing any unwanted overtones.
The Shredder features a set of Habanero’s classic bridge and neck humbuckers, designed with slip coils to give you the ability to switch between humbucker tones to single coil sounds. The two PAF type humbuckers provide a midrange output that offer dramatic clarity and a powerful punch. The classic bridge humbucker delivers a fatter tone than the neck humbucker, allowing for a more defined and dynamic tone, perfect for chords and rhythm. Both pickups produce incredible tones that are perfect for any musical style, making the Shredder a very versatile guitar.
Floyd Rose are one of the leading manufacturers of guitar bridges, using top of the range design techniques to craft outstanding quality parts. With a design that has stood strong for years, the Floyd Rose locking tremolo system allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch to create unique sounds such as dive bombs and pitch bends. The bridge works together with the locking nut to increase the guitars string stability, while preventing the strings from detune after excessive bending.
