The Electromatic Pro Jet is designed with a chambered basswood body topped with laminated maple, creating a lightweight guitar with excellent resonance. The chambered design magnifies the harmonic richness of the tonewood, letting air resonate between the top and bottom to create a beautifully live and articulate tone. While the basswood body delivers a well-rounded sound, the maple top adds brightness for a full-bodied tone with plenty of sparkle. The guitar’s single cutaway not only adds to the visual aspect, but also provides easy access to the higher frets for an incredibly smooth performance.
The 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is naturally oily and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pours, making the sound richer than a maple fingerboard. The maple neck will withstand the test of time and usage, as it has less reaction from environmental changes than other hardwoods. The combination provides powerful tones, creating sparkling highs, thick creamy lows, and an open midrange with a sharp attack.
The Gretsch features a set of Blacktop Filter'Tron pickups which filter out undesirable hum, neon noises, crackle and electrical disturbances that are usually associated with single-coil pickups. This powerful duo delivers a warm tone, along with a high output and sustain. Control options include independent volume controls, as well as a master tone and master volume control. In addition, a 3-way position toggle switch allows you to select a variety of pickup combinations for the perfect sound.
