Redesigned Scalloped X Bracing

Through feedback, extensive research, analysis and development, Yamaha has managed to create a new scalloped bracing pattern. The new pattern allows for more volume, more projection, increase in the low end and a bigger tone, the bracing also allows the resonance of the guitar to sit closer to the middle, resulting in a bigger impact on both tone and playability.

SRT Pickup and SYSTEM 66 Preamp

For Yamaha’s FSX series, their guitars are fitted with an SRT Piezo pickup which is designed to use the individual elements for each of the strings, producing an ultra-clear and ultra-wide bandwidth signal to deliver an excellent dynamic response as well as possessing exceptional tonal accuracy. Combined with the SYSTEM 66 preamp that possesses a 3-band EQ, mid FQ, volume control and inbuilt tuner, the Yamaha’s electronics enhances the guitars capabilities.
