A fuzz like no other. The EarthQuaker Devices Black Ash Endangered Fuzz truly lives up the endangered part of its name with the use of a variety of rare and irreplaceable components. They even had to raid the personal stash of EQD's president to complete the pedal's construction. In return, the Black Ash lets you inject your sound with everything from a light, amp-like breakup to full-on filthy, saturated fuzz/boarder-line overdrive soundscapes.
When the EQD Black Ash was born, it took some cues from the vintage ''three-knob Bender'', providing you with three control knobs to shape your sound. While three might seem like a small number, they are all that's need to take the classic fuzz sound into explosive-yet-detailed territory. And with only 1500 Black Ash Pedals available worldwide, you'll never get an endangered fuzz like this ever again.

As a limited edition pedal, the Black Ash Fuzz is only limited to 1500 units worldwide. This is due to the selection of rare and irreplaceable components that went into making it. From its paper-in-oil capacitors to its NOS haff-watt carbon composition resistors - which were raided from the personal stash of EQD's president, Jamie Stillman. With these components added, the Black Ash takes the classic fuzz/drive sound into the realms of explosive-yet-detailed tones. Your treble response will shine, the midrange will remain sturdy, and the sub bass sounds will extend into thumping oblivion.
To gain access to these incredible fuzz sounds, simply experiment with the three simple controls. While fuzz and volume give you a variety of fuzz/overdriven tones to play with, the top control lets you decide where your guitar sits in the mix. This is ideal to finetune the pedal to accommodate different guitars and pickups, ensuring that no matter what you play you'll always have a great performance.
Despite the Black Ash's incredible range of fuzzy tones, its compact enclosure takes up little space. This is great if you're mad about effects or have little floor space to work with. Its top mounted jacks are also a blessing when working in cramped conditions on your pedalboard. Gone are the days when wires would take up precious space next to your pedals, now they sit at the top and let your pedals get cosy with each other. Embrace the space to keep on adding to your collection.
