The JHS Colour Box 500 is a high end studio preamp and EQ for your microphone derived from the original Colour Box pedal. The 500 model features two 1063 BA styled gain blocks with masses of headroom accessible from the 24V of power available to each. There's a massive 7 band EQ to fine tune your sound to the exact requirement you need. Thanks to the Carnhill transformers, you can alter the sound to be anything from a clean and refined through to aggressively distorted. Whether it be a microphone, line level or 1/4'' input, the Colour Box 500 module is the exact tool needed to achieve the classic, vintage rock sound.

Lunchbox Series

500 Series equipment is ideal for studios and recordings that take place in a compact environment. JHS have released some of their most popular, important pedals available onto a lunchbox format. This allows for more extensively detailed versions of each pedal to be released, making it easier to transfer the sound you have in mind to the sound recorded. The Lunchbox series can be used for guitar, vocals, drums and more to achieve a sound that truly belongs to you.
