The MFB Tanzbar Lite Analogue Drum Machine is compact yet powerful thanks to its analog circuitry and ergonomic layout. The MFC Tanzbar Lite features 9 instruments in total, including: bass drum, snare drum, rimshot, claps, tom/conga, cowbell, claves, cymbal, open hi-hat and closed hi-hat. The versatile sound palette allows you to create complex loops from high-quality samples. Building on the success of the MFB 522, the Tanzbar Lite bases its design on the original with vast improvements to circuitry and design. Five independent LFOs are used to modulate the pitch of certain sounds.
The Tanzbar Lite Drum Machine includes a step sequencer including 16 steps in total. The sequencer allows you to store up to 64 patterns in total, for quick recall at a later time. The sequencer step length is individual for each instrument, allowing you to create polyrhythms with metric ranges from 16th/8th triplets and 16ths to 32 steps. 15 different shuffles are also included for added character. Four different accents are available for each instrument for optimal control. All the sounds can be recorded in step or realtime mode, with the sequencer using MIDI notes that can trigger other sound sources for added versatility. It also offered four waveforms in total that can be programmed independently for each step.
The compact and highly portable design makes it ideal for live and studio applications alike. The robust and stable metal chassis includes a range of connectivity including five individual outs as well as a one stereo main output. The MIDI connectivity includes IN, Out/Thru, CC and Dump connectivity for optimal versatility. It also means you can use a MIDI Clock with the Tanzbar Lite. Each instrument features its own volume potentiometer and mute functions.
