The Z5600a II is one of the most versatile mics on today?s market. With 9 graded steps through omni, cardioid and figure of eight patterns, 10dB pad and bass cut, the Z5600a II finds uses in a huge number of applications, from mic-ing a live drum kit, to overhead on a choir. Above all though, this excellent mic has won its praise on delivering superb vocal recordings, with natural warmth and incredible detail.
Future Music "It comes a lot closer to most people?s idea of a classic valve mic sound than many modern condensers and the multiple pickup patterns enable you to fine-tune the response to adapt to various room acoustics or alter the tonality of the sound depending on the source."
Audio Media "Imagine the least you'd expect to pay for a package like this then halve it. Check it out for yourself; you won't be disappointed, in fact, you probably won't want to give it back"
Electronic Musician (USA) - The Z5600 A is a ver satile and fine-sounding tube mic. The various clients whose sessions I used it on liked it, even when I told them they were listening to it in compari son with a Neumann. And that may be the biggest sign of all that the Z5600a is pretty darned good.
GUY CHAMBERS Guy said 'We've been using the sE Gemini and z5600a for various applications, from vocals, guitar and piano to live drums and we've had fantastic results. These mics are great. We're using them all the time.'
This beautiful mic, comes in a wooden presentation case, cradled in a full aluminium flight case with a large shock-mount and a brand new brushed Aluminium PSU with pattern switching and cables.
sE Electronics Project Studio Reflexion Filter Vocal Booth
After 3 years and many poor imitations of SE's now industry standard design, they have gone back to the drawing board to produce what many budget concuos customers have so desired... an entry level Reflexion Filter product which actually does the job properly!
Due to patents pending on their original design, competitors who have tried to emulate the success of SE's original RF Pro have not managed to do so succesfuly since their designs are limited, and as a result, so are their performances.
The Project Studio RF uses the same basic design as the Pro version, and while it can never be fully as effective as its more expensive big brother, it easily ouut performs copies and for project studio use is just the job. The metal frame is lined with the same patented polyester fibreboard as the Pro version uses for its outer layer. This material has extremely good acoustic absorbtion properties; much better than simple foam products. This is then further lined with a high density 'crystal' foam with curved undulations rather the cheaper and less effective ribbed, medium density foams that are widely used by other companies.
The result is a product which looks fantastic and 'sounds' even better when recording vocals and acoustic guitars... its not an RF Pro, but it's the best of the rest!
