PreSonus BlueTube DP Preamp is a high-quality preamplifier for both microphones and instruments alike. The built-in Phantom Power is ideal for capturing studio-grade recordings when connected to another interface. The 2-channel configuration makes it ideal for home projects and smaller studios, providing you with two class-A XMAX microphone preamps and accompanying line/instrument inputs. The wide frequency range and premium-grade components are designed to capture every nuance from your input sources in immense detail, ideal for studio-grade recording applications.
Vacuum & Solid-State Stages
The exceptional audio fidelity that the BlueTube provides makes it ideal for both studio and stage. One of the most unique features of the preamp is the selectable gain stages. The preamp includes both solid-stage and vacuum tube stages with individual control. The solid-stage path provides exceptional transparency, ideal for vocal recordings, with high-headroom and 54dB of gain. The tube path boasts a high-outputs, 12AX7 vacuum tope, operating on double the voltage of other preamps in the same class. The result is a powerful tone with added warmth and lots of headroom, ideal for guitars and vocals alike.
Design & Connectivity
The highly compact design of the PreSonus BlueTube makes it ideal for the musician on the move. The front-panel of the unit also includes an 80Hz high-pass filter and a -20dB pad for added flexibility. There is also a polarity-reverse switch for troubleshooting capabilities and more. The illuminated, vintage-style analog VU input-level meter not only looks good but provides precise monitoring over your levels. The preamp features dual balanced combo mic/unbalanced instrument inputs as well as 2 balanced XLR main line stereo outputs and 2 unbalanced 1/4-inch line outputs for stereo connectivity. The compact design is also rackmountable, requiring only 1/2U of rack space and comes with an external 16 VAC power supply.
