The Steinberg UR-RT2 USB Audio Interface sets itself apart form conventional USB audio interfaces, featuring an integrated custom Rupert Neve transformer; as well as a premium-grade D-PRE preamps borrowed from high-end Yamaha mixing desks. Rupert Neve is renowned in the audio world for being a trailblazer in sound quality and rich harmonics. The front input channels on the interface feature a switchable transformer from Rupert Neve Designs, providing added depth and expressiveness whilst retaining the natural characteristics of your source audio. The custom transformer can be coupled with the D-PRE Class-A Microphone preamps to deliver exceptional sonic accuracy with a unique sound.

24-Bit/192kHz Audio Performance

The interface also boasts professional-grade AD/DA converters, providing 24-bit/192kHz audio fidelity. This ensures you capture every nuance of your source audio, whether it be from a studio microphone, electric guitar or anything in between. The high-resolution audio performance ensures maximum sonic accuracy, retaining all the subtle details from your source audio. All the inputs provide high-end sound quality, resulting in exceptional sound reproduction for all your input sources. Also included is an onboard SSP2 DSP chip providing zero-latency FX for monitoring applications.

Ideal For Instruments & Microphones

The UR-RT4 features 4 analog input channels comprised of XLR/TRS combo inputs, as well as dual TRS line inputs. The XLR/TRS combo inputs can be used for both microphones and 1/4-inch input source such as electric guitars and more. Input 1 features a built-in switch that allows you to toggle Hi-Z mode for proper processing of electric guitars.

Cubase AI & LE Software

As well as providing studio-grade audio fidelity, the interface comes complete with Cubase AI DAAW software, as well as Cubasis LE for iOS devices. Cubase AI is a streamlined version of Cubase, featuring all the necessary tools and technology that made the original a staple in the audio editing world. Cubase AI features an array of tools and features for composing, recording, editing and mixing music; allowing you to get started straight out of the box. Cubasis LE is a multi-touch sequencer designed for the iPad, providing a range of tools for recording, editing and mixing music.

Design & Connectivity

The compact and robust design makes the UR-RT2 highly portable, allowing you to take the high-end audio fidelity and recording tools on the move with you. The interface features MIDI I/O for communicating and processing keyboards/synths, as well as an integrated headphone connection with independent level control for private monitoring. The robust full-metal housing is designed with withstand the rigors of transportation and prolonged studio sessions, protecting all the internal components from damage. You can also use the interface with iOS devices by using an iPad Camera Connection Kit or Lightning to USB Camera Adapter (not included) for added flexibility.
