Double trouble. EMG active 89 and 81 pickups
High output energy from a set of pickups that don't hold back. Loaded in the bridge position is an EMG 81 humbucker, frothing with tonal ferocity and incredible amounts of high-end cut. Utilising powerful ceramic magnets, everything about the 81 is pushed to deliver maximum intensity, as well as a razor edge sharp enough to slash through any mix.
For the neck, Gary Holt chose a different tack and opted for the 89R. Warm and dynamic, this shines for rocking out beefy rhythm tones. For stylistic variety the 89R can shimmer with single-coil sparkle, thanks to an included coil split feature. The 89R reverses its coils so that the single coil is closer to the neck pickup, gifting you a sweet glassy twang excellent for blues or clean playing. These pickups look hot, and sound hotter.
Floyd Rose Tremolo
The leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos, a Floyd Rose bridge gives the GH-600 an extra dimension. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years the Floyd Rose locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch to create unique sounds such as dive bombs and vibratos. Unlike non-locking tremolo's the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the solid tuning stability because of the locking nut, so get experimenting, and finish your solos with finesse!
Tremendous tonewoods
ESP and Gary Holt have been meticulous over their choice of tonewoods. A three-piece mahogany neck is set through deep into the mahogany body cavity, and bestows excellent, dark, rich notes and a ringing sustain. Due to its layered construction, the neck is fantastically durable and resistant to warping. Rocking the classic Eclipse shape, the GH-600 is brimming with metal bombast that looks the business but provides easy playability.
You might want to hold onto something, because the macassar ebony fretboard is so sleek and fast it encourages unbelievably speedy playing. With extra jumbo frets you can effortlessly slide up and down the frets, a task made even easier by the thin "U" shaped neck. This gives your fretting hand a comfortable platform to launch your riffs and gives unhindered access to the upper frets for those screaming solos.
Included hard case keeps your ESP in top shape
Keep you show on the road. With looks as good as these, it's important that you retain the factory fresh gleam and avoid any damage for as long as possible. To that end, ESP provide you with a hard-shell case so that you can keep the GH-600 looking good as new throughout a lifetime of gigging. With a hard rock guitar that has metal in its DNA and a case to keep it safe, the stage awaits you…
