Basswood Body & Maple Neck

The lightweight nature of basswood makes the Dean Edge 1 PJ the ultimate stage guitar, allowing players to wield the guitar all night long without strain. Although light in weight, basswood delivers a fat, balanced tone with plenty of mid-range punch and dynamic response suitable for a variety of playing styles. The maple neck and rosewood fingerboard adds an extra layer of bright, sweet characteristics, while its incredibly smooth design offers a comfortable playing experience.

DMT Design P/J Pickups

The Dean Edge 1 bass features a P/J pickup configuration to deliver powerfully dynamic tones with a beautifully clean low-end, perfect for a wide range of playing styles. The DMT P pickup is located at the neck, offering the classic split-coil definition with a deep, balanced sound and a high-end pop. The DMT J pickup is placed at the bridge to offer an incredibly thick, crisp tonality with excellent clarity and precision. Independent tone and volume controls allow players to dial in the perfect tone for any situation.
