Constructed from an all sapele body, the Artcore guitar produces rich, warm tones with plenty of grind and bite. The sapele’s characteristics are balanced and soft, offering an incredible amount of depth with a full sounding low-end and an appealing high-end. The hollow body design delivers traditional jazz tones with an excellent midrange to complement your playing, while the thin design makes this Ibanez an incredibly comfortable guitar to play. For added acoustic projection, a duo of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the maple soundboard, providing a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.
The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard are designed to offer a smooth, fast play, whilst the naturally oily rosewood absorbs stray overtones for a rich sound. The mahogany and rosewood combination produces warm, mellow tones with complex highs, thick, creamy lows, and an appealing midrange. The Artcore also features 22 medium sized frets, and white dot inlays to provide a classic look and a smooth play.
The AS53 Artcore is equipped with a set of Infinity R pickups to offer a versatile range of tones, from crystal clear notes to gritty lows and crushing highs. Perfect for modern playing styles, the combination of two humbuckers deliver incredibly thick, punchy tones with plenty of clarity and dynamics. Achieving the perfect pickup combination is easy with the 3-way blade, volume control, and tone control.
