The ORI20H Origin Amp Head is designed to offer an unmistakable Marshall performance and tone, equipped with ECC83 preamp and EL34 power valves to deliver a beautifully rich harmonic content and exceptional tonal quality. To finish off its incredible capabilities, the 20W Marshall Origin is also equipped with a footswitch input for external control over the amp's functions, an FX loop for further tonal enhancements, and a DI output with loudspeaker emulation for connecting the Origin Amp directly into recording devices and sound desks.
The Marshall Origin Amp's intuitive control layout offers players the perfect level of control over the amp’s tone, featuring a powerful 3-band EQ for dialling in the ideal sound for any situation. The output section offers further tone shaping options, with the presence control allowing players to increase the high frequencies while the master volume offers the classic overdriven sound. Although the Marshall Amp is only one channel, the addition of the tilt control provides access to two distinct voices, normal and high treble. This amp also features a footswitchable gain boost, which can be activated by pulling the gain control, to provide players with an extra level of gain to generate a classical Marshall tone.
For the Origin series of amps, the engineers at Marshall equipped them with their incredible Powerstem technology, offering the choice between low, medium, and high output power settings without compromising sound quality. This is achieved by reducing the voltage rails around the power amp, instead of the tradition pentode/triode reduction methods. This in turn reduces the power output without changing the amp’s sonic character, offering optimum tones and performance at any volume level.
