Maximum aesthetic appeal
Not only does this guitar sound the part, it looks it too. Inspired by a highly sought after model produced between 1978 and 1982, the New Jersey Select offers you an iconic design without the four-figure price tag. The striking silverburst finish has been embraced by many rock and metal guitarists including Brent Hinds (Mastodon) and Adam Jones (Tool) and will seamlessly integrate into any aficionados' collection. The subtle cream binding situated around the edges of the body provides the perfect finishing touch.
Quality tonewoods
Durable and versatile. There's good reason why some of the world's leading guitar manufacturers have a variety of mahogany bodied guitars in their range. Tonally, mahogany provides a full bodied sound offering far greater punch, definition and projection. This is the ideal match for the bright maple top, providing you with a balanced, articulate tone that makes the New Jersey Select ideal for a broad range of styles, allowing the guitar to grow with you as your technical ability and musical preference develops. For greater comfort when playing, the New Jersey Select features a belly carve on the rear of the body.
The New Jersey Select's slighty thinner, warm mahogany set neck offers a stable playing experience. The open pores and lower density provide a greater response for richer, thicker guitar tones. Thanks to the set neck design, the guitar offers greater access to the higher frets compared to a bolt-on alongside an increase in sustain. The fretboard is constructed from oiled poplar laminate for improved tone and volume, whilst ensuring greater resistance to humidity.
High spec components
Each component on the New Jersey Select has been chosen by our team of specialists to guarantee an unparalleled playing experience.
The New Jersey Select comes complete with a solid mahogany body and neck with a maple capped body construction. The Tune-O-Matic bridge has been purpose built to increase resonance and sustain, as well as maintain perfect tuning whilst you perform. Harking back to the '70s, the inclusion of die-cast sealed tulip tuners add a touch of class, ensuring absolute tuning precision.
Incredibly versatile, the two humbucker pickups situated at the neck and bridge are ideal for Blues, Rock and Metal styles thanks to the precise midrange focus they offer and their ability to handle high levels of gain and distortion. You'll find the neck pickup when not pushed to extremes is capable of smoother tones, making it the ideal choice for Jazz and Pop performances, where the brightness of a single coil is not favoured.
Accessory pack included
To ensure you're ready to hit the ground running, the New Jersey Select comes complete with an accessory pack, consisting of a lightweight gigbag, strap, cable, plectrums and Allen keys.
