The first thing that catches the eye of the Sunset Triad is the pickup configuration. Unlike anything you've seen before, it features four coils in two positions. A triple single coil bridge pickup and one single coil in the neck position. Hand-wound in the USA, the Schecter USA Tripocalypse bridge pickup is a truly spectacular pickup innovation, delivering the signature twang and spank of a single coil combined with the thickness and output of a traditional humbucker, ideal for the modern metal player who needs to cut through dense drums, bass, synthesizers and punishing vocals.
The single coil neck pickup delivers high output, glassy tones that are ideal for creamy lead playing or for that classic sparkling clean to play creative leads over heavy rhythm guitars. To access the full variety of tones, Schecter have created a 5-way switch whereby you can use the bridge pickup as a traditional two-coil humbucker, all three pickups in series, only the inner single coil, a split between inner single coil and neck and finally the neck on its own in position 5. Whatever tone you need for your song, the Sunset Triad can deliver.
The harmonious blend of maple and rosewood in the Sunset-6 Triad's neck presents more than just an audibly lush and intricate symphony of sounds. It enriches your musical output with a robust, three-dimensional stability that safeguards against any undesirable warping or twisting. This makes it an exceptional choice for musicians who are constantly on the go, playing gigs or on tour.
Moreover, a meticulously carved heel and cutaway are beautifully paired with an Ultra Thin "C" neck profile. This design offers a seamless blend of speed and accessibility to all 24 frets, spread across a generous 16-inch fingerboard radius and 25.5-inch scale.
On either end of your strings, you'll find Schecter's own locking tuners and their Diamond Hardtail Plus bridge, exuding both style and durability. These are partnered with a Graph Tech Black Tusq XL nut, ensuring dependable intonation and crystal-clear, buzz-free tones.
This fusion of high-quality woods and premium materials not only guarantees a robust and long-lasting instrument but also elevates your performance to new heights. With the Sunset-6 Triad, you're not just playing music; you're experiencing the pinnacle of craftsmanship and quality.
