The custom stereo summing mixer provides four inputs and acts as the main hub of your Moog Sound Studio. The mixer also features a built-in three-way power distribution hub, providing power for your growing synth collection. Perfect for using both synths together, the two-tier rack allows you to install both the DFAM and Subharmonicon in one convenient piece of housing.

A sturdy cable organiser complete with a custom patch cable set is also included, allowing you to experiment with all the different connections on your synths. You can even mount the cable organiser to a wall for quick and easy cable changes. Learn as you create, with guided exercises, experimental patch sheets and educational games. Last but not least, the package includes exclusive studio art from Moog comprised of unique characters, posters other smaller objects.

Moog DFAM Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer

100 percent analog

The DFAM is a fully analog machine that produces a rich, full-bodied, analog vintage sound. The 2 wide-range analog oscillators enable you to create everything from warm, deep pulsing basses to chunky raw FM percussion. It offers a hands-on approach to percussive sequence creation, allowing you to tweak and experiment as you like. Exploring and experimenting is highly suggested.

Human behaviour

The Moog Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) features a versatile and easy-to-use 8-step analog sequencer with velocity. It allows you to control the pitch for each step, as well as velocity. This gives your sequence a more human feel rather than robotic. Set the pitch for each step, then adjust velocity on-the-fly to add some movement and variation. The three dedicated analog envelopes work dynamically with the sequencer to ensure the toms breathe, impacts evolve, and movement is created with a simple turn of the knob.

Semi-modular

Each DFAM comes with a number of Moog patch cables that can be used with the integrated 24-point modular patchbay. The DFAM requires no patching to create a rhythmic composition, making it ideal for someone looking for their first synthesizer/sequencer. However, for the more advanced user or the experimentalist, the DFAM provides a patchbay that can be used to unlock a whole new array of sounds and behaviours. The patchbay is also a great way for beginners to delve into the world of modular patching. Additionally, the Moog DFAM can be easily removed from its case and mounted into a Eurorack system (requires a 10 to 16 PIN eurorack cable).

Wide range of controls for sound design

The DFAM offers a range of controls for creating and tweaking sounds. Two oscillators offer hard sync and FM cross-modulation, allowing you to shape between rhythmic pulsations, resounding bass, and resonant bells instantly. The integrated Moog Ladder filter offers high and low-pass, allowing you to dynamically shape your sound. The DFAM also features a white noise generator, allowing you to add air and high-frequency content to your sounds. The DFAM is capable of creating everything from huge bass tones, leads, and most importantly, raw FM percussion.

Subharmonicon Semi-Modular Synthesizer

Powerful system

At the heart of the Subharmonicon's sound lies two analog VCOs and four Subharmonic Oscillators. Get sonically creative with six powerful sound sources. Each Subharmonic tone is precise. They are mathematically derived from one of the two main VCOs. Because of this, you can ensure constant inspiration thanks to sublime chord shapes which offer you unparalleled, coherent results. Feel free to dial in perfect intervals via the use of Subharmonicon's onboard quantisation system. You'll be able to create a vast array of sounds from the deep, luscious pads to hard-hitting rhythms.

Innovative rhythms

You'll be able to use the pair of polyrhythmic four-step sequencers to animate the Subharmonicon's innovative chord shapes. Create the most complex, varied and intricate polyrhythms by layering rhythm generators on top of each other. Each sequencer can be clocked by one or any of the four generators, offering mathematical divisions of the overall master tempo.

No patching is necessary to start creating. Jump right in thanks to Moog. It's important that you get to grips with the Subharmonicon's modular patchbay. Think of this as your key into a world full of endless possibilities. The 32 point patch bay can be routed into itself. This is ideal for expanding on the already vast capabilities of the Subharmonicon. You're also free to connect your Mother-32, DFAM or any other Eurorack compatible equipment.
