Key Features
The SoundForce Dual Filter Module bases its design around of the most iconic OTA circuits ever created, borrowed from a classic synthesizer. The two-stage cascaded OTA design has been expanded with improved resonance control, complete with a resonance CV input. The two-channel design allows you to choose each channel's filter type, allowing you to toggle between 12dB/oct (low-pass) and 6dB/oct (high-pass) settings. Perfect for sound design, the Dual Filter module allows you to sculpt and shape your sound with maximum precision.
Product Ref: 227085
This MS-20 style filter module utilises the same circuitry found in the later models of the most iconic semi-modular synth ever created. Utilising a two-pole cascaded OTA design, the SoundForce Dual Filter expands on the original design with extended resonance control. Also included is a resonance CV input for advanced modulation options. Toggle between 12db/oct (low-pass) and 6dB/oct (high-pass) settings on the rear of the module. You can also fine-tune you resonance control by using the trimmers located on the rear of the module.
Using the dedicated trimmers, you can dial-in your resonance with maximum precision. With the default setting, the SoundForce Dual Filter will start to self-resonate when the resonance knob is turned to 4 o’ clock. You can create a more exaggerated resonance effect by turning the trimmer further clockwise. SoundForce have marked the factory value of the resonance on the PCB so you can experiment to your heart contents.
With a simple and refined design, the Dual Filter module is perfect for beginners and advanced modular users alike. The streamlined and intuitive layout makes it easy to change values at a glance. The two-channel circuit is comprised of 3 x OTA ICs and 4 x Op-Amp ICs, providing maximum efficiency and ensuring a long lifespan. The ICs used within the circuit are A-Brand only, utilising only the finest components to deliver the best possible playing experience. Saving space on HP, you can toggle the filter settings by using the three jumpers available on the back of the PCB. These are clearly labelled so you can easily switch between settings.
