Providing you with the opportunity to experiment with panning your instruments in the stereo field, you can break out of conventional wide stereo or mono track positioning to give your mix space to pick out each element individually, this is perfect for experimental composers or cinematic composers that use heavy projects with multiple tracks and need to find space for each part of your song.

Providing you with the simplest way to position your instuments within your mix, the Scan & Pan gives you four channels of audio that can be positioned anywhere in the stereo field from 100 percent left to 100 percent right. Each channel has a dedicated input gain so you can boost the gain of low-level signals, a level knob to balance the volume and the panning dial. Designed from discrete parts, the Scan & Pan has a naturally transparent sound until the input gain is driven hard, where some interesting and musical distortion will start to occur to give your sound character and flavour. To give you maximum flexibility when connected with your existing Eurorack modules, Scan & Pan contains "center" and "width" controls that allow for selecting a channel or selection of channels through external CV. Within the Scan section, the CV inputs have reversing attenuators to allow scaling and inverting incoming control voltages.
