Four band parallel equalisation
The unique four-band configuration allows you to dial in your frequencies with maximum precision. Unlike other EQ plugins, Boz doesn’t use digital pre-warping to capture that classic analog sound. Instead, each filter features symmetrical frequency responses ranging up to the Nyquist frequency, providing a natural high-end response. Each band is accompanied by a switch allowing you to select from different filter types including Duck and Peak.
Stuck for inspiration or just need a quick fix? You can use the wide range of onboard presets to get the sound you want, or as a template to build upon. You can even save your own presets and edit existing ones so you can save and recall them for later use. Get instant visual feedback with the beautiful GUI providing vintage VU metering and design.
Redesigned for modern producers
Updated for Verison 2, the Plus 10dB Equalizer modernises the user experience whilst leaving the sonic signature you expect unchanged. Version 1 closely matched the workflow of the hardware which was optimised for getting both hands on the controls and making changes to multiple parameters at once. However, a DAW-based workflow typically means adjusting one parameter at a time using a mouse or keyboard.
To simplify its use in the digital domain, the user-interface has been streamlined to deliver the same results, in less time. The peak and dip switches have been removed and the boost-only gain control was replaced with a boost or cut gain control with a 40dB range. Now, you just have one knob for boosting or cutting, making automation less complicated and making it more intuitive to use.
Additional functionality has also been introduced, including mid-side and dual-mono modes, oversampling up to 8X and a global mix knob for parallel processing across your entire plug-in.
Reviews
“Like DB, this thing is pure rock’n’roll! We’re loving the way it sounds on drums here.” – Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel, Kiss)
“The +10db recreates a piece of gear that may not be as ubiquitous as other well-known counterparts, however, the original’s sonic signature has made it a well-kept (until now) secret weapon for me and countless other engineers. From the beautiful smash of the compressor/limiter to the often forgotten, but unique sounding eq section, this plug-in recreates the personality of the hardware with aplomb.” - Neal Avron (Linkin Park, Sara Bareilles, Switchfoot)
“It’s what I had hoped it would be. Big, open, punchy and versatile. Very happy to have it in my arsenal. Thanks DB!” - Ted Jensen, Sterling Sound Mastering (Billy Joel, Green Day, Talking Heads, Norah Jones, Mastodon)
