Although different from track to track based on tempo, genre and style, typically the Fat Brit Comp Plug-in can be used with a relatively low ratio of 2:1 with a fast attack of either 10 or 30ms with a fast release of .1 to .3s. Of course, depending on the gain staging of your mix, the threshold dial can be pulled back to where you're getting 2-3dB of gain reduction. Perfect for mixes with lots of layers of different instruments, each occupying a different sonic space or for sparse instruments to reduce the separation between instruments, creating a glued mix using the Fat Brit Comp will give your productions the consistency and professional edge you need.
