Expandable VCO

The Erica Synths Black VCO can be expanded using Erica Synths' Black VCO Expander. It is an advanced waveform mixer, plus an extra -2 Octave sub-oscillator. It gives you the ability to explore wave design in a wide variety of new areas. This expander can only be attached to the Erica Synths Black VCO, and will not work as a standalone Eurorack module. The expander features the following:

• Waveform mixer/inverter
• Sine/Triangle waveform switch
• Transistor-based -2 octave sub-oscillator
• -1 and -2 octave sub-oscillator crossfade
• Sub-oscillator low-pass filter
• Diode limited on output signal amplitude
• Three simultaneous outputs

Controls & I/Os

• TUNE: Knob that allows you to set the tune of the VCO across two octaves
• PULSE WIDTH: Knob for manual adjustment of pulse width
• FM LEVEL: Attenuator for the FM CV input
• SINE / TRI / SAW / PULSE / SUB: VCO outputs. All four waves and the sub-oscillator are available simultaneously
• SYNC: VCO's sync input. Allows you to patch in another VCO output to reset the VCO circle. Provides you with new and interesting waveforms
• PWM: PWM CV input. 10Vptp CV signal affects the pulse width from 1 , up to 99
• 1V/OCT: 1V/Octave CV source input. The VCO tracks exceptionally well across eight octaves
• FM IN: Input for your FM CV source. Perfect for vibrato effects. Can also patch in another VCO or noise source for interesting new timbres
• OCTAVE: Octave rotary switch that can be used to instantly tune the VCO up or down by +/- 1 or 2 octaves
