Using a differnet approach to the detection of the dynamics of your signal, DCompressor employs a Dynamic Ratio and Level Independent Detection (L.I.D) technologies. Instead of analyzing the level of your signal, DCompressor's Dynamics Ratio controlls the amount of auto-ratio determined by the signal dynamics and manual ratio set by the user. The advantage of this is that DCompressor opens up the sound and increases the dynamic impression by adjusting the ratio of each peak over the threshold in regards to the current ratio setting.
The Level Independent Detection circuit controls the amount of auto-threshold determined by the signal dynamics and manual threshold value, letting you process the audio signal independently of the sound level, preserving a more natural and transparent dynamic sound.
Inside Pure Compressor FLUX has introduced a built-in MS encoder/decoder to split your stereo signal into the mono and stereo pieces, allowing you greater control over the stereo compression. The MS width control sets the stereo width of the original where -6dB decreases the width and +6dB increases.
