Additionally, the oscillator has been painstakingly developed whereby you will only ever need one oscillator to produce any number of strong, pure and clean tones. Modulation options include an LFO with triangle and square waveforms with an adjustable balance to select any waveform that sits in between and an envelope generator with ADSR parameters and a Hold setting to extend the time keys are held down.

Delivering a raw and aggressive sound without any over-the-top peaks, the cut-off filter accurately emulates the sound and feel of even the most sought-after and rare of vintage hardware synthesizers, completely aliasing-free. With Sawtooth, Triangle and Square waveforms, there is a bias to create harsher cut-offs that will add grit and character to your sound, the cut-off is not for the faint of heart! The filter section also contains settings that control the amount of frequency modulation by the modulation generator and envelope generator. Even when at full resonance, FabFilter One's cut-off filter doesn't display the typical pitfalls of digital filters such as distortion artefacts and a lack of cohesion, making it perfect for use with aggressive sounds in electronic dance music such as drum and bass.
At the heart of FabFilter One is the oscillator, producing strong, pure and clean tones that can be modified and adjusted through the rest of the signal chain of components within the synth. Although digital in nature, this would not be obvious when listening to it, thanks to the meticulous attention to detail that accurately emulates vintage analog oscillators to deliver fat and round low-end and complete clarity and articulation in the high-end.
