Real spaces reimagined
Unlike traditional convolution reverb plugins, Paragon ST uses more than one static impulse response, meaning you have a much wider range of tonal options to explore when creating your reverb. Using several impulses that blend naturally between settings allows you to manipulate the parameters with more freedom without introducing artefacts, stretching or distortion that can hinder your tone. Paragon ST's reverb decay, room size and brightness can all be significantly changed to be longer, larger, smaller and tighter with a natural feel that still retains the character of the reverb.
Additionally, Paragon ST allows you to simulate and control the microphone distance in your room reverb from the source, bringing your sound closer or further away without affecting the overall sound of your reverb.
Seamless tweakability
Very rarely when mixing and mastering does one reverb sound fit every application. With this in mind, Paragon ST offers a huge range of flexibility to sculpt and shape your reverb to fit your instrument or an entire mix. As Paragon ST is an impulse response-based convolution reverb, the IR library has been curated to perfection to not offer too many or too few options when it comes to reverb. Each impulse response can be manipulated to create almost limitless combinations of spaces.
Using a proprietary technology specifically developed for Nugen, Paragon ST analyses each impulse response and breaks them down to be re-synthesized to create a new, unique space whilst staying true to the character and tone of the original. Alongside manipulating the impulse responses to create a library of tones and spaces, Paragon ST also features a comprehensive EQ section that allows you to seamlessly tweak the frequency response of your sound. For mixing engineers, this means you can cater the response of your reverb to the sound source, whether you're looking to cut lows from an already bass-heavy instrument such as bass guitar or add extra shimmer and sparkle to a vocal performance, Paragon ST will help you achieve your desired sound.
Add space to your mix
For any music producer, you will understand the importance of reverb within a mix. It helps to give dimension, space, width and realism to sound sources that could otherwise sound too dry, monotonous and lifeless. Instruments recorded in dry rooms with little to no room microphone influence can benefit from the natural ambience that Paragon ST can bring to your tracks. Whether you're looking to add extra decay to a drum kit or add a natural ambience to a vocal track recorded in a dead room, Paragon ST can do it all.
Opening up a whole new world of tones, Paragon ST also features a new modulation control and tempo-locked pre-delay. With the addition of modulation, you can add excitement and dynamic to your reverb decays that can transform simple reverb tails to unique and expressive ambiences, perfect for electronic music and synthesizers!
