The origin of digital instrument emulation
A giant leap in technology, the Roland SRX sound modules were the professional solution for accessing a wide variety of high-quality sounds in one place. Each loaded with a specialised sampled waveform for different styles and genres, the ever-expanding modules allowed new users to create sounds that were previously only accessible with physical versions of each instrument. The ultimate composer's toolkit, the SR(X) series were quickly adopted by many of the worlds top producers, composers, performers and film composers to create countless hit songs, film soundtracks among many other media outlets.
An industry classic
Brought to life by the innovative digital circuit behaviour (DCB) advanced modelling technology, the SRX Brass Virtual Instrument reproduces every nuance and detail, fusing the original sample ROM with advanced behaviour modelling that replicates the hardware components and circuitry. Now, you can achieve the industry-standard characteristics and sounds from the original hardware unit in your modern production and workflow.
The SRX Brass Virtual Instrument contains a superb collection of sounds that capture the true articulations of traditional brass instruments and ensembles, to accurately give you control over each detail via the intuitive interface to use within your mixes and music. From solo horns to full brass bands, the SRX Brass contains 100 diverse presets covering everything from trumpets, tubas, trombones and full horn sections to craft classic composition, modern pop hits and contemporary film scores. Highly detailed articulation gives you the freedom to arrange your parts with a renewed dynamism with realistic falls and swells. Turn an ensemble of horns into a ghostly wail or a trumpet into a distorted buzz saw. The sonic possibilities are boundless.
Hardware integration
The SRX Brass Virtual Instrument also supports Plug-out format and can be used a number of compatible Roland hardware units, where knobs and sliders can be used to map to the SRX Brass Virtual Instrument to give you flexible and expressive control over your performance. This combination is ideal for the live musician and sound designer, with dedicated controls to get hands-on with your instrument, ease of use in parameter adjusting in the digital realm and much more. Not only this, but you have the ability to transfer sounds back and forth between the hardware and the software to carry your sounds and presets with you anywhere you go, editing on the fly with real physical controls that don't require a computer.
