Twice the power
The output stage in the headphone amplifier works as a "push-pull" amplifier in a Class AB function. The inclusion of bipolar transistors ensure that any amplification of the positive and negative half-waves is evenly distributed. Thanks to this, the One is able to emit incredible levels of gain and output voltage, compared to amplifiers that work on standard Class A operation. You'll be provided with a generous amount of current via the power supply's buffer circuit, this is consistent, even when low-impedance headphones are inserted.
