Bringing a hugely concentrated level of control to your productions, Drumstrip makes processing single drums or entire drum busses simple via the streamlined interface. Complex parameters with difficult-to-read meters are replaced with a concise number of settings in a modular format where each of the five unique processors can be re-arranged into any order to customise your signal flow. Simple input and output meters include RMS information for visual feedback over your dynamics control. Each module has been custom-tuned to meet the needs of modern producers, engineers and musicians looking to enhance their drum sound to the next level.
There are the conventional things you may find on other channel strips or processing units such as EQs, a gate and a compressor but here, they are implemented the SSL way. Firstly, the Gate module employs a Close and Open threshold level, letting you set the response of your gate to the quiet and loud sections of your audio, perfect for gating only the unwanted noise and leaving out the rest whilst maintaining the tail of your drum. Next, a Transient Shaper can enhance the attack portion of your drum hit, making it ideal for adding punch to weak or poorly recorded bass or snare drums to cut through a mix.
Specifically tuned for drums, a Low Freq Enhancer and High Freq Enhancer are on independent modules, giving you flexible control over the low-end punch and high-end sizzle and articulation. Each features a wide frequency range to cover each drum in a typical setup along with a Drive control to push the enhancement and an 'Amount' control to blend the wet/dry control of your processing.
