Improve Your Tone
The Vivente features the traditional set up of a solid spruce top, or sound-table, combined with a solid back and ribs. Having a good quality sound-table is essential to produce a good tone as this is where the instrument's primary voice is formed. Additionally, as the wood ages, it slowly relaxes to its natural state, improving the tone even further. The solid maple body is enhanced by a graphic flame finish which provides a similar look to a professional Italian instrument.
Synthetic Core Strings
Synthetic core strings are insensitive to temperature and humidity changes, making the strings ideal for gigging and travelling musicians who perform at a variety of venues. The strings have a smooth surface that's comfortable for your left hand whilst being responsive to both bows and picking.
Ready To Play
All Hidersine instruments are inspected and setup up in Hidersine's UK service workshop before being shipped. Once this strict procedure has been completed, the bridge is then collapsed to ensure the safe transit of your cello. This rigorous quality control enables you to buy your cello with the knowledge that's it in perfect condition, and only requires the bridge to be placed to start playing.
The Vivente cello includes a padded gig bag to protect your instrument while commuting between musical events. The 10mm padding on the inside provides good protection while also being lightweight. The exterior of the gig bag includes a dedicated accessory compartment, bow holder, and a spare pocket for any extras. The quality bulletwood bow has an octagonal shape for comfort, and the included Hidersine rosin enables your bow hairs to stay in good condition.
CNC Machined
The Hidersine Vivente Cello is CNC machined, rather than handcrafted. This means that the outfits have a higher level of consistency than other brands, reducing error margins during the manufacturing stage. This is a great advantage for student instruments, as it ensures a higher quality instrument for the player to learn on. It also enables teachers to know exactly what they are working with.
The Hidersine Company
The company was founded in 1890 and has since been the go-to company of bowed instrument maintenance and care. The company really made their mark in this specialist market when they introduced Amy Birch's 'AB' Rosin in 1970 and the legendary W.E.Hill & Sons' rosins in the 1980's.
Hidersine Bowed Instruments round up all of the years of working with instrument luthiers, learning what is required by players at all the different levels of development. Gained from the years of work are the ESTA-chosen (European String Teachers Association), entry-level Vivente student outfit, the advanced Piacenza student outfit, and the degree students choice, the Veracini, plus many more fine instruments. These instruments led Hidersine to develop the Hidersine Reserve range of one-off instruments for the connoisseur. Hand selected violins and cellos from workshops across Asia that shows off both a great value and exceptional craftsmanship.
