Around the back of the clarinet you will find an adjustable thumb rest which will accommodate most hand sizes and encourage players to adopt a proper playing technique. You will also notice that the mechanism is silver plated for a truly luxurious finish.
Alongside the 57C5 clarinet, Trevor James has included everything you need to get started. The included case is lightweight while offering excellent protection. To make sure your new clarinet can keep up with your busy life, Trevor James has decided to make the 57C5 from ABS. The issue with wooden clarinets is that you have to be careful what environment you play them in. Due to their organic nature, sudden humidity or temperature changes can result in the wood cracking - which is an expensive fix! You won't have any of that with the 57C5 clarinet. The ABS is unaffected by environmental factors, making it nearly maintenance-free.
Robust mechanism
The Trevor James 57C5 has a robust design featuring the standard 17 keys and six rings. The pads used on the TJ clarinet are made from Pisoni anthracite tec-felt which provide a quieter action and offer more precise venting. What does this mean for you? Better note production and more stable intonation.
Included accessories
Included with the Trevor James 57C5 clarinet is a lightweight moulded case. This case offers tough protection for your instrument to ensure it stays in the best possible condition. The case features a large exterior pocket for holding all of your music and has backpack straps for easy transportation between events.
